The Dictionary Project

At last week's meeting the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Ankeny agreed to participate again this year in "The Dictionary Project".  This will be the 9th consecutive year that our club has participated in this project and the number of books distributed to Ankeny 4th graders by the Rotary Club of Ankeny now totals 6,024 and could hit 7,000 after this year.  Since its implementation in 1995, a total of 21,720,883 children have received dictionaries through The Dictionary Project all over the United States.  Sign up sheets to help hand out the dictionaries will be available as soon as the times can be confirmed with the schools.  Thank you to Damon Miller for leading this project again this year.
