Terry Peter Named Ankeny Rotarian of the Year

At the annual meeting, Kathy Sibbel, the "2016 Ankeny Rotarian of the Year" had the honor of introducing Terry Peter as the "2017 Ankeny Rotarian of the Year".   Terry has been a member of the Rotary Club of Ankeny for 19 years and has had perfect attendance for the past 6 years.  He is a Paul Harris Fellow + 1and has been active in numerous other local organizations.   His most recent noteworthy accomplishment has been acting as the chairman of the Ankeny Market Pavilion fundraising committee.   The idea for AMP originated in 2011 with a goal of raising $1.5 million.   Now, 6 years later, over $2.2 million has been raised, the construction of both pavilions is complete and the restrooms should be completed this fall and the Saturday morning farmers market is thriving.   Congratulations Terry!!
