Ankeny Rotarian, Rich Job was honored by American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) at their annual meeting in Toronto on July 14th by being inducted into ASABE's “fellows” ranking. He was accompanied by his daughters Reba and Sara who had the privilege of pinning honors on him.
The ASABE is an international professional devoted to agricultural and biological engineering with about 9,000 members in over 100 countries. It serves many functions including providing a forum for communication of research findings through conferences, scientific journals, and a magazine, develops standards of practice, and provides opportunities for members to network. ASABE defines a "Fellow" s a member of unusual professional distinction, with outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experience in, or related to, the field of agricultural, food, or biological systems engineering. ASABE Fellows possess a minimum of 20 years of active practice in, or related to, the profession of engineering; the teaching of engineering; or the teaching of an engineering-related curriculum and a minimum of 20 years as an active Member-Engineer or Member in ASABE. This is ASABE's highest honor.
