The Rotary Club of Ankeny Evening hosted a Quilts of Valor Presentation on Tuesday, July 15, at 6:00 p.m. at Magee's Irish Pub. Five veterans were honored and each received a hand made quilt from the Quilts of Valor Foundation. The recipients were Todd Eipperle, Steve Wieneke, Gavin Sandvig, Del Mohler, and DeWayne McDaniel, all members of the Ankeny Rotary Clubs. It is the mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing quilts of valor.
