Corinne Lambert, former member of the Rotary Club of Ankeny and Assistant District Governor, is still in the hospital recovering from a serious stroke and won't be able to finish the year as Assistant Governor. Juan Arias, of the Rotary Club of Ankeny, has agreed to start his term early and is now serving the Ankeny, East Polk and Johnston clubs as Assistant District Governor.
The last report we have received from Ned Looney, President of the East Polk Rotary Club, stated Corinne is slowly recovering but while making progress she often experiences setbacks. She is unable to speak as she has facial paralysis on one side. They are trying to help her communicate in other ways. She does recognize and appreciate get-well cards. She is still recovering in the hospital now, and physical therapy will need to be continued once she is released. If you would like to send a card, her address is:
