A total of 698 balls were sold for the 2022 golf ball drop at on Sunday night of Summerfest. Brad Edwards, Chief Meteorologist at channel 5 WOI-TV in Des Moines was the celebrity ball dropper. The winners with their balls being the first to go in the hole were:
- 1st – $1,000 to Cheryl Berg – Sold by Tessa Fjelland (ASC Board)
- 2nd – $375 to Barb Nessa – Sold by Mary Cochran
- 3rd – $250 to Dale Port – Sold to himself
- 4th – $125 to Chris Brooks – Sold by Kevin Brooks
After expenses, the proceeds generated $4,732 for the Ankeny Service Center and $2,028 for the Rotary Club of Ankeny.
