For the past year the Ankeny Rotary Clubs hosted Ada Sallares a foreign exchanger student from Spain. This fall Evelyn Forrester will be leaving to spend the 2025-2026 school year in Spain as an outgoing Rotary exchange student. On the evening of May 27th, a going away celebration was held at Sunrise Park in Ankeny to honor these two young ladies.
Ada was honored with a beautiful US flag and Evelyn, received a Spanish flag. The Rotary Club of Ankeny and the Rotary Club of Ankeny Evening each gave a generous $500 contribution to Evelyn to provide some financial support as she embarks on her exciting journey.
