At the August Board meeting, the club's membership committee recommended an incentive program to encourage growth in our membership. The Board approved their recommendation to award $100 to any member that proposes a member and that prospect becomes a member of our club. So far, only one member has received the $100 award. One of our goals for the 2026-2027 year is to increase the Club's membership to from 85 to 90, but since July 1, 2026 we have had a net loss of one member.
We need every member to think about who they know that is active in the Ankeny community and be a positive addition to our club. We all know several co-workers, friends, and business associates that would make good Rotarians. The best way to get them interested in Rotary is to not only tell them about all the great things we do, but also show them what Rotary is all about. Invite them to attend a meeting. How can they resist a FREE LUNCH? Invite them to a meeting soon, so you can propose them for membership, get Board approval of their application and we can get them inducted prior to year end so you can recevie "YOUR $100".
