Foundation recognition points are awarded to donors who contribute to The Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund or Polio Plus or to the sponsorship of a Foundation grant. Donors receive one recognition point for every U.S. dollar contributed to these funds. Donors can transfer Foundation points to others to help them qualify as a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Foundation recognition points belong to the original donor until the donor' death, unless the donor uses them.
Foundation Chair, Steve SchraderBachar, has sent an email to each Ankeny Rotarian, that has recognition points, to advise them of the number of points they have available that could be transferred. These points can be transferred to another Rotarian, a family member, or any other individual. A minimum of 100 Foundatin recognition points, must be transferred at a time and a Recognition and Transfer Request form must be completed and signed by the donor to complete the transfer.
