The following letter has been received from Vicki Engh, Executive Director of the New Horizon Adult Day Center:
"Dear Rotary Club Members,
New Horizon Adult Day Center would like to thank the Rotary Club for once again blessing us at our Sixth Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser. We are blessed to have you as friends, and appreciate your $1,000 Sponsorship for our event. The outing was a great success. People mentioned how much fun they had with the "just for fun" holes. The weather was perfect this year, and one player even got a "Hole In One"! Because of generous donors like you, we raised over $11,000, which will be put toward furnishings, as well as costs that are not covered any other way.
The participants of New Horizon Adult Day Center are just like you and me. with a need for socialization and friendship. They often feel disconnected from their community due to the challenges they face physically and/or cognitively. The atmosphere at our Center is family-like, compassionate, comfortable and caring, providing activities that are therapeutic, as well as fun.
