The Rotary Club of Ankeny donated $1,000 to the New Horizon Day Center to help sponsor their annual golf outing. The following thank you letter was received from Vicki Engh, Executive Director:
"Dear Ankeny Rotary Friends:
Thank you so very much for sponsoring our 8th Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser! Your Event Level Sponsorship of $1,000 is greatly appreciated.
It was a hot day, but everyone said they had a good time. Because of people like you who recognize the importance of taking care of those with differing abilities, we were able to raise over $13,000 with this fundraiser. The funds raised will be used to provide programming for our participants. Some of the things programming includes are activity and craft supplies, outings into the community and entertainers who come to our center to perform. Thank you again for the generosity of the Rotary family to our family at New Horizons Adult Day Center."
