Thank You From Dollars For Scholars Winner

The Rotary Club of Ankeny presented scholarships to two seniors at Ankeny High School and two seniors at Centennial High School at their recent Senior Spotlight night.  Each of these scholarships was in the amount of $500.  The following letters were received from the recipients:
My name in Hannah Shrader and I am the humbled recipient of the Rotary Club of Ankeny Scholarship.  I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity in helping me pay for my education!   My family and I are so appreciative of your kindness.  I look for ward to meeting some of your members at Centennial's Senior Spotlight Night ceremony!   Someday, I would like to be a part of a Rotary club - their service worldwide is inspiring and I an honored to be awarded a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Ankeny.  Thank you again and I am excited to meet you and thank you in person!  Have a great day!  Sincerely Hannah Shrader
P.S. - I plan on going to med school in the future and I have been admitted into the Honors Program at the University of Iowa which will help to prepare me for med school.   This scholarship will aid in reducing my student loans as I work towards med schools.
I was happy to learn that I was a recipient of the Rotary Club of Ankeny Scholarship.  I am writing to thank you for your generous financial support towards my higher education.  I will be majoring in Health Sciences while completing my pre-med requirements at Drake University in the fall.  After graduation, I hope to attend medical school and become a Neonatologist.  By awarding me this scholarship, I am better able to concentrate on what will get me to that goal, my education.  It is my hope that I will one day be able to pay forward your generosity to someone else.  Thank you again. Sincerely, Meredith Cornwell
Dear Rotary Club of Ankeny, Thank you a lot for the scholarship!  I plan to use the money for furthering my education at Iowa State University.  At ISU, I plan to double major in computer engineering and music.   It is very thoughtful and generous of you to provide this scholarship for graduating high school seniors.  Thank you again for the scholarship.  Sincerely, Chris Lopez
My life long dream of attending medical school is moving forward thanks to generous educational scholarships like yours.  Since being named one of the recipients of the Rotary Club Scholarship, my dream is becoming a reality at the University of Iowa.  The $500 award gives me an opportunity to earn skills what will serve the medical community following graduation.  Thank you personally for your generosity.  Without scholarship patrons willing to support medical education, students such as myself would be unable to pursue advanced health care degrees.  I personally understand that I have at least eight years ahead of me regarding my endeavours.  Once again, thank you for your vote of confidence and the scholarship.  I am committed to my education and to the healthcare field, and one step closer to becoming a doctor, thanks to your continued generosity and the Rotary Club Scholarship.  Sincerely, Makenna Dunlavey
