Hopefully everyone was able to celebrate the New Year by putting 2021 behind us as we look forward to 2022.   Here are a couple suggested New Year's resolutions for Ankeny Rotarians:

Improve Attendance at Meetings - One of the special obligations of membership in Rotary is regular attendance at the weekly meetings; it is the basic method of fulfilling the principle of fellowship as well as a way of representing your vocation.  If a member does not attend meetings regularly, they are missing out on the many benefits of being a Rotarian. The average attendance for the first half of the 2021-2022 Rotary year was 44.6%.   This is the lower it has ever been including last year when many of the meetings were virtual.  Resolve to improve your attendance at Rotary meetings in 2022.

Promptly Pay Quarterly Invoices By the Due Date - As of the end of December, we had 30 members with balances due on their invoices.  Quarterly invoices are emailed in early January, April, July, and October, and payments are due by the first of the following month.  You can view your invoices and see if you have any balances due by going to our web site ankenyrotary.org, and logging in.   Then go to "My Account Balance" under "My ClubRunner".  Past due payments not only deprives the club of the funds, but it creates additional work for the treasurer and secretary to follow-up on past due invoices.  Resolve to complete the payment of your Rotary invoices promptly upon receipt of the invoice.
