Zane Smith was honored at last week's noon meeting for have been a Rotarian for 50 years. The Ankeny Rotary Club was officially founded January 1973 and Zane join the Ankeny Rotary Club the next year on June 3, 1974. Smith is the longest serving Ankeny Rotarian and maintains his Active Membership. Nate Burnham presented Smith with an Art Glass Award with a Helix design inside the glass on a black marble base. The inscription on the base reads "Zane Smith, In recognition of your 50 years of membership in the Rotary Club of Ankeny 1974-2024"
