The Ankeny Summerfest parade was held on July 7th. Twenty-five Rotarians arrived before 6:00 AM to check in entries and line them up for the parade. Milisa Cox the Executive Director for the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce advised the club that there was an estimated 65,000 people in attendance over the three days of Summerfest. She also presented a check to the club in the amount of $750 as a thank you for our assistance with the parade setup.
Many compliments were received by participants for how smoothly the parade setup was handled. Thank you to Stacey Koeppen and Richard Bergez for coordinating this service project and to all the Rotarians that assisted.
