Shive-Hattery hosted Rotarians from District 6000 for One Rotary Summit on October 12, 2017. Those attending from Ankeny were Anne Porter, Steve Wieneke, Jim Hudson, Kathy Sibbel, Rich Job, and Sally Schroeder. The educational evening was at no charge and included dinner. The 3 pillars of Rotary - membership, foundation, and public image were discussed in the large group and breakouts. A few takeaways were:
- Surveying members using what should be stopped, started, or continued
- Use big name speakers to be part of inviting guests
- Expand on the 3 pillars for programs
- World Polio Day is October 24th
- Grants will be due earlier - June 1, 2018.
We will follow up on these ideas.
