During the All-Iowa District Conference on April 24th, Laura Luetje was named one of eight Rotarians in District 6000 who were nominated by their clubs to receive the Paul Hellwege Guardian of Integrity Award.  This award honors individuals who have made contributions in business, media, academia or government and who have by their actions, writing, policies, and public pronouncements strengthened and fostered development of integrity and ethical practices, and who have made sacrifices and/or undertaken risks to uphold Rotary's Core Value of integrity.

Laura is a managing partner in her law firm.  She is the primary manager of sensitive divorce and child and divorce custody cases and searches for the most favorable outcome for all parties.  Laura serves her community with the same high intent.  Served by her efforts are the NE Elementary School PTO, 100 Women That Care, Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce, Ankeny Young Professionals, Ankeny Civil Service Commission, the Ankeny School Foundation Board and her Rotary Club where she oversees fundraising.  During the pandemic Laura handled the challenge of a special learning program for students who needed extra support.

Each of the 65 clubs in District 6000 had the opportunity to nominate one member each year to receive the Guardian of Integrity award.   Ankeny is one of only two clubs in the District to have a recipient of this award in each of the past seven years.

Congratulations Laura!
