Ankeny Rotarian and District Governor Steve Wieneke and his wife Brenda made their official visit to both the noon meeting of the Rotary Club of Ankeny and the Evening Satellite group on August 2nd. In recognition one of the projects they would like to emphasis, literacy, Steve presented President Brian Tiernan with a book for him to give to someone in need. He challenged the club group to complete a project with an emphasis on literacy and/or food insecurity in the next year. The group thanked Steve and Brenda for their presentation and all they do for the club with a gift basket and a beautifully decorated cake. He also presented Brian with a banner from the Iowa City AM club that he was given when he made his official visit to their club.
