The Rotary Club of Ankeny has distributed dictionaries to Ankeny 4th graders in each of the past 12 years. This has amounted to a total of 9,912 dictionaries. This service project has been one of the club's most popular activities with great participation from members to help facilitate the distribution and the dictionaries have always been well received by the students and their teachers. However, we now understand each Ankeny 4th and 5th grader has received a Chromebook which would mean the dictionaries would be used very little. The Board has, therefore, decided to discontinue distributing dictionaries to Ankeny 4th graders.
