It is now only 10 weeks until the Rotary Club of Ankeny's 2019 fundraiser "Raise the Stakes" for Community.  For the event to be a success, each member of the club needs to participate with the sale of tickets and obtaining auction items.   Brian Tiernan and Doug Beech are co-chairing the ticket sales and auction item aspects of the fundraiser.  They have divided the club into two groups, last names beginning with A-K on Doug's team and M-Z on Brian's team.   There will be some competition between the teams for who sells the most tickets and obtains the most auction items.  The ideal auction item is something unusual and desirable that cannot be purchased in a store.  These might include a hot air balloon ride, fishing trip, time share vacation home for a week, autographed items, etc.  The more unusual the item the better.  Rich Job will be storing auction items in his basement.  As items are received, give them to Rich or bring them to a meeting and we'll get them to him.  
 
The first thing they ask of each member is to provide them with a list of four people they want to see at the event, four people they are inviting, and four people they want to see that they have a connection with to invite.  The goal this year is to have over 300 people in attendance.   Your list can be sent to Doug at doug.beech@Caseys.com or Brian at brian@cjmfinancial.com.  Remember the money we raise from this event enables us to help many individuals and organizations in Ankeny and around the world.
