District 6000 Assistant District Governor, Corrine Lambert, attended the noon meeting of The Rotary Club of Ankeny to present a banner to the club in recognition of the club's contributions to The Rotary Foundation for the 2017-2018 Rotary year. Ankeny is distinguished from more than 35,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide as being one of the following:
- One of only 1,575 clubs to achieve "Top Three Highest in per Capita Annual Giving" honors in District 6000. (only clubs with a minimum $50 contribution to the Annual Fund per member are eligible.)
- One of only 3,425 clubs worldwide to attain status as an "Every Rotarian, Every Year Club" (A minimum of $100 per member with every member contributing to the Annual Fund during the Rotary year.)
- One of only 4,000 clubs worldwide to become a "100% Foundation Giving Club". (club must have contributed an average of at least $100 per member and 100% participation, with every member contributing at least $25 to any or all of the Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund, an approved global grant, or Endowment Fund.)
During the 2017-2018 Rotary Year, Ankeny contributed $12,780 to the Foundation's Annual Fund and $5,100 to PolioPlus. This totals $17,880 to the Rotary Foundation and equals $210.35 per Active member.
