The golf ball drop at Summerfest was held on July 15th. The winners with the first balls in the hole or closest to the pin were:
1st Place - $1,000 - Julie Ann Cochran, sold by Mary Cochran
2nd Place - $375 - Gerald Freetly, sold by Tom Freidman
3rd Place - $250 - Shawn Rourick, sold by Tom Friedman
4th Place - $125 - Adam Gudenkauf, sold by Kristofer Orth
A total of 545 balls were sold which will result in a net income of $5,314.41 to be split 60%-40% between the Ankeny Service Center, $3,188.71 and the Rotary Club of Ankeny, $2,125.80. Thank you to Sterns Home Loans and Steve SchraderBachar for donating $2,000 for the Prize money.
