World Polio Day is October 24th.  This date also commerates the birthday of Jonas Salk the inventor of the inactivated polio vaccine.  As Rotarians, this is an ideal opportunity to pause and reflect on Rotary's efforts and successes in ending polio remembering that ending polio will spare children forever from death and disability form this disease and save an estimated $41 billion per year that could be spent on addressing other public health concerns..
