Thank You from Maggie Mixdorf

Dear Rotary Club of Ankeny - I am writing to thank you for the generous $500 Dollars for Scholars Rotary Club scholarship.  I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship.  One huge goal of mine is to get through college with as little debt as possible and this definitely helps me on my way in doing so.  Thank you so much.

I will be attending Iowa State University in the fall.  I am going to be a freshman, but already have 40 college credits going in that make me a sophomore academically.   I plan on studying Accounting with a minor in Management with the end goal of becoming a CPA or eventually a CFO.  Thanks to you, I am one step closer to that goal.  By awarding me the Dollars for Scholars Rotary Club scholarship you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning.  Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.  I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
