Summerfest Golf Ball Drop Tickets on Sale Now!

The Rotary Club of Ankeny is again the primary sponsor for the golf ball drop at Ankeny Summerfest this year.  At sunset on Sunday night, July 13th, just outside the Leisure Garden, watch hundreds of golf balls drop from over 6 stories in the air in an attempt to become the big winner.  First ball in or closest to the hole wins $1,000!  Second ball in or closest wins $375, third ball in or closest wins $250 and the fourth ball in or closest wins $125.  Tickets are $10 each. This year tickets will be sold by several Ankeny service clubs in addition to Rotary.  The proceeds from all sales will be split between the club selling the ticket and the Ankeny Service Center.  The Monsanto Company has agreed to donate the prize money and WintrustMortgage has donated the fee for the vendor booth.  Plus every ticket has a coupon for $3.00 off a large pizza at Leaning Tower of Pizza!

Finally, there will be a challenge with the service club selling the most tickets, per member, having the opportunity to have a member of their club go up the ladder with the fireman to help drop the balls.  With the help of the other service clubs we should be able to reach our goal of 1,000 tickets.  If you have not received your tickets yet, you can pick them up from Tom Friedman at First National Bank or at our next Rotary meeting.   All proceeds from ticket sales should be turned into Tom.
