Sally Schroeder Named Rotarian of the Year

Sally is the Dean of Health & Public Services at DMACC.  She received her RN from Mercy School of Nursing and also has a BS and an MS from Drake University.  She was sponsored for membership to the Rotary Club of Ankeny by Sue Gibbons and was inducted on February 28, 2006.  Sally now has perfect attendance for the past 6 years and has been present for 90% of the meetings while earning more than 50 more make-ups than needed to maintain her perfect attendance.   She is currently the membership Chair for the club and has proposed 4 new members since 2011.  She has rarely missed a board meeting and has participated in virtually every social event and service project sponsored by the club during the past few years including: Summerfest parade setup and vendor booth, golf ball drop sales, dictionary distribution, new member social, Iowa Energy BB game, fundriasers, District Conference planning committee, AMP groundbreaking, Clean Up Days, annual meeting, Xmas social and root beer float sales, just to name a few.  Her other activities include – Iowa Board of Medical Examiners, New Horizon Adult Day Care,  Neveln Board and Ankeny Community Ed.  She has even made up a Rotary meeting in Japan.   Congratulations Sally!!
