RYLA Applications Now Available

The Rotary Club of Ankeny awarded 8 young women with Rotary Youth Leadership Awards to enable them to attend RYLA in July 2013. They experienced leadership development, self-discovery, communication skills and made many life long friends from around Iowa. Mckayla Sturtz said "RYLA and the people at RYLA changed my life". Many students that attended indicated it was the "best week of their lives, yet". They had fun and learned new skills at this world class Leadership Academy.

The six-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Academy will be held from Sunday, July 13, to Friday July 18, 2014, at Grinnell College, in Grinnell, Iowa. Attendees must attend the entire academy. Room and board and supplies will be provided. To learn more, or to apply, go to: www.rylaiowa.org. The application will be available and registrations will open on February 15, 2014. The deadline for applying is April 30th. Sophomores and juniors may apply. If you are selected, the Rotary Club of Ankeny will pay all the fees for you to attend.
