Rotary Completes Donation to Parks & Rec

Whitney Garcia and Nick Lenox attended the noon meeting of the Rotary Club of Ankeny and accepted a check in the amount of $1,000 to be used for the Ankeny Parks & Recreation department's Youth in Parks Summer Camp Program.  Over 500 Ankeny youth have participated in this program over the past 5 years.   Each week long session involves youth, 6-9 graders, in a half-day of community service and a half-day of recreation.  It is designed to develop a sense of community pride through public service.
