Rotary Annual Family Picnic

The second annual Rotary Club of Ankeny family picnic will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.   It will again be held at the Sunrise Park Shelter, 506 SE Peterson Drive in Ankeny.   A social time will begin at 5:30 PM and hot dogs and hamburgers, provided by the club, being ready to eat at 6:30 PM.  Both the noon and evening Rotary meetings are cancelled and all members are encouraged to attend the picnic and bring all family members, guests, and prospective new members.  Also, Rotarians and guests are encouraged to bring one can or food item per person to be donated to the local food bank.

 

There will be a sign-up sheet at the August 4th meetings where you can indicate if you plan to attend, bring a guest, and what side dish you can bring to share.  Everyone should bring their own beverage of choice.  The club will provide water and lemonade.  We will need to have a final count by August 7th prior to placing the order for the meat.
