Root Beer Float Sales Sets Record

Thank you to Sally Schroeder, Tim Hawkins, Kristofer Orth, Anne Porter, Mary Cochran, Dick Marshall, Stacey Koeppen, Art Moeller, Jan Franck, Patty Hoffman, Steve Wieneke, Mark Miller, and Nate Burnham for their service in selling root beer floats at the two Ankeny HyVees last Saturday and a special thank you to Tom Friedman for coordinating this event.  Their efforts resulted in $403.80 at the Prairie Trail HyVee and $265.46 at the Ankeny Blvd HyVee  being raised for Special Olympics.  This total of $669.26 was significantly more than we have ever raised before. 

The totals for the previous 5 years, when we were at just one site, were: $357.41 in 2013, $234.59 in 2012, $344.55 in 2011, $243.20 in 2010 and $314.47 in 2009.  This makes a total of $1,494.22 raised for Special Olympics by the Rotary Club of Ankeny during the past 5 years.
