Root Beer Float Sales Set Record

The Rotary Club of Ankeny sold root beer floats at both the North HyVee and the South, Prarie Trail, HyVee on Saturday August 22nd.  In total they used 52 - 2 liter bottles of A&W root beer and 14 gallons of ice cream.  Sales and donations that will go to Special Olympics totaled $723.50 compared to $669.26 last year.  The North team did out selll the South team by $380.80 to $342.70.  Thank you to everyone that helped set this new record and especially to Tom Friedman for coordinating this service project.
