At it's January meeting, the Board chose the organizations that proceeds from this year's paddle raisers and raffle would be donated to.   The three paddle raisers will be the Ankeny Market Pavillion, Ankeny Service Center, and RAG4CLUBFOOT, the Rotarian Action Group for Eliminating Clubfoot Disability.   The proceeds from the Raffle which will be conducted by the evening club will be donated to On With Life

The mission of RAG4CLUBFOOT is to assure timely treatment and appropriate care for children born with clubfoot deformity world wide.   You will recall this is one of the projects District Governor Loring Miller presented to the club during his visit to Ankeny last fall.  District 6000 and 5970 are the home districts of the University of Iowa where Paul Harris earned his law degree and the birthplace of the Ponseti Method of treating clubfoot.  The Ponseti method of treating clubfoot is low-cost and highly effective but requires a night brace be worn until age 4.   These braces cost $20 each and are frequently not available to doctors.  Dontions to RAG4CLUBFOOT will help insure these braces are available to all doctors performing the Ponseti method of treatment.

On With Life has recently completed a major expansion and is now planing a meditation garden.   The raffle proceeds will help landscape their garden.
