New "Youth Services" Committee

Gary Welch made the suggestion at the November board meeting that the club create a “Youth Services” committee.  The committee would be responsible for RYLA, Youth Exchange and Scholarships.  One project they may look at is the selection of a "student(s) of the month" that could be invited to the Rotary Club to meet the members and the members could learn a little about the students and what they plan on doing.  There could be one or more from each High School with a Certificate being awarded to them.  The selection would be based on academic skills, athletic skills or to give a student who has potential a boast.  Young people become our future Rotarians and we should introduce them to Rotary at a young age.  The board approved this proposal and Gary Welch volunteered to chair this committee.
