On March 18th and 25th, instead of meeting at Wig & Pen, the members of the Ankeny Evening Rotary Club participated in a service project.  Bill is a Vietnam War veteran and is disabled due to exposure to agent orange.  Bill lives alone but has daily nursing care.  The Rotarians met at Bill's home and painted three bedrooms and the kitchen for him.  This also involved the moving of furniture in and out for new carpeting to be installed.   This was a great example of "Service Above Self" by these Rotarians and they experienced a great feeling of satisfaction when the project was completed.
