District "Operation Warm" Project

District Governor John Ockenfels chose "Operation Warm" as the service project for his year as District Governor.  The Rotary Club of Ankeny has agreed tp participate in this project and will be making a donation of $2,000 to purchase coats.  We have also applied for a Rotary Matching Grant of $2,000 for the purchase of additional coats.  Assuming the grant is approved, the $4,000 should purchase about 250 coats.   The club will be working with the Ankeny Service Center in the distribution of the coats to needy children in Ankeny.  If any Rotarian would like to make a personal contribution to purchase additional coats, please contact Nate Burnham.  The initial order for coats will be placed this week.
