Denny Hanson Moving to Northfield, Minnesota

Please share with the Ankeny Rotary that I will be seeking to eventually transfer my membership to the Rotary Club of Northfield, Minnesota.  They are part of District 5960.  A couple weeks ago I tendered my resignation at Valley Bank and accepted a President and CEO position for the Community Resource Bank in Northfield, Minnesota.  I had interviewed for this position several months ago and had planned to make the move closer to the summer or fall, but CRB's time table had to change, thus forcing me to move more quickly.  My wife, Kris, and I are excited about the move as it brings us back closer to both of our parents who are getting elderly.  (The bad part is that MN is 10 degrees colder and there is still snow in the ditches..........I forgot this part when I interviewed.)  As many of you know, both Kris and I are from Minnesota so we do know that they get more snow and cold.  I want to share with you that the Rotary Club of Ankeny is the best Rotary Club that I have belonged to.  After my group study exchange trip to Australia in 1982, I joined Rotary and in my banking career moves I have had a chance to belong to several clubs.  Ankeny has been the best.  Please extend my best wishes to the club and trust that our Rotary paths will cross again.  Thanks, Denny.
