Decorah Rotary Loop-de-Loop Event

The Decorah Rotary Club will be holding its fourth annual Loop-de-Loop Event on September 26th.  This even consists of 5K,10K and half marathon runs.  Details about this major fund raiser for their club alon with a link to an on-line registration are available at www.decorahrotary.org.  

The run will be held on the renowned Trout Run Trail -- a 12-mile closed-loop recreation trail that completely circumnavigates the picturesque and historic northeast Iowa town of Decorah. The trail goes through and around Decorah and the surrounding Oneota Valley area, passing along the beautiful Trout Run, the Upper Iowa River, along former rail and road beds, and through public lands and private farmland. The trail offers expansive views of wooded valleys, limestone bluffs, and rare algific talus slopes unique to the area, in addition to interesting sculptures and other artwork located along the trail.
