Club Picnic A Success

The Rotary Club of Ankeny held it a picnic at Sunrise Shelter in Ankeny on August 12th.  Both the noon and evening meetings were canceled that day to encourage all members to attend.  Approximately, 70 members, guests, prospective members, and RYLA students were present.  All members brought a dish to share and the club provided the hamburgers and hot dogs which were grilled by Steve Wieneke.  In addition, 32 items were collected which have been taken to the Ankeny food pantry.  Based on all the favorable comments, a club picnic could become an annual event.
