Board Approves Donations

During the August 13th meeting, the Board of the Rotary Club of Ankeny approved two donation requests.  The requests approved were:

New Horizons Adult Day Center, $1,000 - This is for a sponsorship for a golf outing to raise funds for a new handicapped-accessible bus.

The Leukemia & lymphoma Society, $500 - This donation is in support of "Team Martin", Mark Martin and his wife Sallie who will be completing a Century Ride in Portland, ME on September 13, 2015, to help fight blood cancers by raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  This is Team Martin's fourth event through the Iowa Chapter Team in Training.
