During the January Board meeting, approval was granted to a request from “Hands Made for Helping” of $500.   The funds would be used to design and print t-shirts to be sold at school events at Centennial, Northview and Prairie Ridge Schools.   The proceeds from the sales will be shared between “People PE” and “Circle of Friends” programs for students with disabilities.   The donation committee recommended approval and in particular Patty Hoffman, who is familiar with these programs believes it is an outstanding program that assists moderately and more severely challenged students to fulfill their PE requirements.   The program has received special recognition statewide.  Moreover, the student body learns to embrace fellow students who need a little help.

Also a request from Jim Blessman asking for financial support for his South Africa envirolube toilet project was tabled.
