If you have driven by the site of the proposed Ankeny Market Pavilion you probably noticed there is some construction beginning. The city has nearly completed the construction of the bike path that will connect the High Tresle trail to the other paths in Central Iowa. The construction of the bike path by the City is being completed by grants and funding separate from the AMP project. Work on the first phase of the AMP project is expected to begin in late May, assuming the Vision Iowa grant is approved at their meeting on May 13th. The first phase will include the under ground water retention, installation of all utilities and all above ground concrete including the driveway, parking area and the pad for the first pavilion.
