During the District 6000 passing of the gavel on June 26th, a friend of District Governor, Alka Khanolkar, traded a banner from the Rotary Club of Pune Up-Town with new District Governor Steve Wieneke. Steve gave her a banner from the Rotary Club of Ankeny. Pune is located on the west coast of India. It is the seventh most populous city in India with an estimated population of 7.4 million. Pune Up-Town is one of six Rotary Clubs in Pune. On June 28th, Steve presented the banner he received to President Brian Tiernan.
