On the evening of August 8th, the combined noon and evening Ankeny Rotary clubs combined for fun and games and great food for a picnic at Sunrise Park in Ankeny. There were about 57 in attendance including Rotarians, family members and guests that enjoyed the perfect weather. Thanks to the Evening club for providing the hamburgers and hot dogs and the grillers. The kids in attendance competed in three-legged and egg races and adults and kids competed in bags, lawn darts, watermelon eating and water balloon toss contest.
The first Rotary picnic was held in 2024 and has been held annually each year except in 2020.
