The fourth annual Rotary District 6000 Foundation Banquet will be held Saturday, November 7th at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines.   Prior to the banquet at approximately 5:45 pm, there will be a "Release of Pride", PolioPlus balloon release.  Balloons will be available for $20.18 each.  $20.18 is highlighting the year, 2018, in which our Rotary International expects to have polio eradicated from the face of the earth.   The release will take place outside as the balloons are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.   The proceeds raised from the balloon release will go towards the eradication of POLIO.   For every balloon over the first one purchased, you will receive 100 recognition points each.  (Example: 2 balloons = 100 points; 3 balloons = 200 points).  Balloon order forms are available on line at the District 6000 web site or from Nate Burnham.

After the balloon release, the evening continues with cocktails and a social hour or walking through open zoo exhibits at 6 pm.  Dinner at 7 pm is catered by Johnny's Italian Steakhouse.  The program begins around 8 pm and the "Keynote Speaker" is Rotary Foundation Trustees Chair, and Past Rotary International President, Ray Klinginsmith.
