Rotary Foundation Minute

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.  The Rotary Foundation helps fund humanitarian activities in all corners of the world regardless of political leanings.  This can be demonstrated in the projects that have benefited countries in the Middle East. Operating room equipment has been given to the Saint-Vincent de Paul Hospital in Israel.  Badly needed milk powder has been donated to the children of Iraq – Food, books and toys have been given to the children in Syria.  Rotarians helped initiate hands on projects to help Syrian refugees.  They have implemented water filtration systems in Lebanese public schools.  Food packages have been given to the people of Lebanon; public schools have been renovated and ambulances have been given to the Lebanese Red Cross.

The activities of Rotarians in the Middle East have met the mission of The Rotary Foundation.  With your continued financial donations Rotary will continue to make a difference throughout the world.
