In May 2014, the construction of a trade school for plumbers and electricians in the country of Haiti began.  With the help of a Rotary grant from the Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County in Maryland and additional funding, the school was completed this past fall.  It holds a total capacity of 90 students and enables Haitians to enroll in a two-year program to learn these important trades and skills.  The small businesses and skilled laborers that are created will help Haiti towards a new and hopeful future.  Your contribution to the Rotary Foundation helped make this happen.
