Rotary Foundation Minute

Through an International District Grant,the South Metro Minneapolis Evening Rotary Club with a membership of twelve was able to purchase musical instruments for an all-female orchestra in Antiqua, Guatemala. The goal of this project was to draw attention to the issues faced by girls and young women in Guatemala, and to offer solutions that involve active participation by all sectors of society. Those girls who participate will be trained to become professional musicians and will enable each female member to be more impactful in their Guatemalan society.
