Rotary Donates to Hands Are Made For Helping

Elizabeth Overberg and her mother, Katie, attended the noon Rotary meeting on January 26th to receive a check in the amount of $500.   The funds would be used to design and print t-shirts for "Hands Are Made For Helping" to be sold at school events at Centennial, Northview and Prairie Ridge Schools.   The proceeds from the sales will be shared between “People PE” and “Circle of Friends” programs for students with disabilities.   These are outstanding programs that assist moderately and more severely challenged students to fulfill their PE requirements.   The program has received special recognition statewide.  Moreover, through these programs, the student body learns to embrace fellow students who need a little help.  With this donation, 100% of the proceeds fom the sale of the shirts will go to assist these programs.
